
PPA is hosting its first ever Winter Fitness Combine. The goal of the program is to provide PPA athletes with an eight-week training program that increases their overall athletic performance. Over the eight weeks, participants will strive to demonstrate increased physical performance with specific guidance from their fitness coaches. On March 4, players will participate in a one day combine challenge that measures their strength, endurance, agility, and speed.
Registration Dates: 12/14 - 1/6
WINTER FITNESS COMBINE
Dates: 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25. Combine challenge day will take place on Thursday, March 4.
Locations: Weekly combine sessions will be run at Westland Middle School and Seven Locks Park.
Day & Time: Thursday's from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Weekly Session Format: Each week, players will work on increasing their overall athletic performance through specific training exercises that work on strength, endurance, agility, and speed. Each session is designed to create a well-rounded athlete. Over the eight weeks, participants will strive to demonstrate increased physical performance with improved measurables for a variety of competitions.
Combine Format: On Thursday, March 4, players will have the change to compete in a combine challenge day. Athletes will compete in challenges that measure their strength, endurance, agility, and speed. Tests will include the 40 yard dash, long jump, 5-10-5 shuttle, and more.
Combine Perks: PPA's will provide a professional coach who has a fitness background for each session. At the end of the combine competition, top scoring athletes will take home awards in each fitness test category as well as a most improved player.
How to Sign Up: To register for PPA's Winter Classic, click register, or log in to your PPA portal account. Select "registration" and then "classes". Select your preferred location and checkout. Please note, each location will have a capacity of 20 players. Once the class has been filled, it will no longer appear as an option.
