developing players between the lines, and outside them.
What is PPA's Development Program?

The Development Program is the best place to play sports with friends. The league mixes the convenience of recreational teams with the professionalism of club sports. It's the only league in the DMV region where players can register with friends from their school or neighborhood without a tryout, and choose to get a professional (non-parent coach). Teams also have the option of using a parent volunteer coach. Parents don't need to worry about long drives. Practices are held locally during the week and games are played on weekends. The philosophy of play is that competition can be applied at any level. Our curriculum aims to teach players of all levels sport-specific skills and technique, while also developing a will to succeed with their friends. To learn more, click here.

How can I join the Fall Development League?
Fall Registration will open June 20th.
Join as a Team
with a Pro Coach
Most players join the league as a team. These teams usually comprise of 6 - 10 neighborhood or school friends who want to play on a team together. It takes one parent from the group to register the team, and then invite the others to join. By joining with a pro coach, we will assign your team one of our trained PPA Coaches, no volunteers needed!
Join as a Team with a Parent Coach
Most players join the league as a team. These teams usually comprise of 6 - 10 neighborhood or school friends who want to play on a team together. It takes one parent from the group to register the team, and then invite the others to join. By joining with a parent coach, at least one of the parents on the team will need to attend practices and games.
Join as an Individual
If you've been invited to join a team by another parent, you should get a code from them to join. Or, you can join the league as a free agent, and we will place your player on a team in their age group and your preferred practice region.
