The Experience

At the PPA, we thrive in a progressive work experience for the modern young professional and are built around a group of strong, driven staff, volunteers and leadership program members. Our fast growing team is attuned to blend athletics, coaching, and business to create a unique high quality of life while building core leadership & mentorship skills across levels.

 

The PPA Leadership Program is a semester-long program in which participants will get to experience at least 3 out of 5 Key Leadership Components. Young Leaders will have the opportunity to receive PPA Leadership Licenses upon successfully completing each semester of the program. The program requires an average commitment of 2 hours per week (1 on a weekday, 1 on a weekend).

Program Overview

Objectives & Vision

The main objective is to provide mentorship and a pathway for rising athletes to build core leadership skills including:
 

  • CONFIDENCE

  • GROWTH MINDSET

  • COMMUNICATION

  • RESPONSIBILITY

  • NETWORKING

  • ORGANIZATION

  • CRITICAL THINKING

  • MENTORSHIP

At PPA, we see the Leadership Program as the future. Young Leaders will be an integral part of the PPA team. Young Leaders who successfully complete the program will be awarded a PPA Leadership License.

  • Semester 1 - Leadership D License

  • Semester 2 - Leadership C License

  • Semester 3 - Leadership B License

  • Semester 4 - Leadership A License

  • Semester 6 - Leadership S License

Young Leaders with a “C” license will participate in the Jr. Coach component of the Leadership Program. Young Leaders with a “A” license may apply to be assistant coaches. Young Leaders with a “S” license may apply to be PPA coaches.

PREMIER PLAY LEAD

Opportunities to lead younger players during the first hour of the Winter Season weekend Premier Play days. Young Leaders will then have the opportunity to play during the second hour.

Application Process

  1. Complete the PPA Leadership Program Application Form to apply. The Application Form can be found below.

  2. Reach out to PPA Director, Steven Rogers, if you have any questions about the program.

  3. Applicants should hear back on the status of their application within 1 week of their submission.

Please note that the Leadership Program is a year-long program. Some roles within the PPA Leadership Program will have the opportunity to earn money, while others will be completed on an experience and leadership skills building basis. Program members itinerary will be built based on their availability. Upon acceptance into the PPA Leadership Program, applicants will receive more information on the upcoming season's opportunities.
